Surah Qasas: Facts and figures :
What does it mean to relate events in their correct order? An appropriate title for this Surah since it tells the tale of Prophet Moses in great detail. Ta. Sin. Mim. is the Qur’an’s fourteenth Surah that begins with ‘the abbreviated letter,’ and it is the third and final time that this form is mentioned in the Qur’an.
One after the other were recited the verses of Ash Sharma, An Name, and Al-Qasas, respectively. The language, style, and theme also indicate that these three Surahs were revealed at roughly the same time. These surahs tell different sections of the Prophet Moses’s story, and combined; they create a complete story.
What this Surah emphasizes is that Allah gives the means and motives for anything He wants to perform. God orchestrated it so that Pharaoh had no idea who was raising the child through which he would be taken from power because the infant was raised in Pharaoh’s own home. In such a case, who has the right to battle God and frustrate Him with his schemes?
Some Hadith about this surah :
Tradition says that the Prophet Muhammad (S) said:
No angel in the heavens or the ground will attest to his rightfulness in Hereafter unless they recite Surah Al-Qasas.
In a different version, Imam Sadiq (as) says:
Whoever recites Suras Al-Qasas, An-Name, and Ash-Shu’ara by night before Friday will be among Allah’s friends, near to Him, and supported by Him; and in this world, he will not encounter severe poverty, insecurity, and disquiet, and in the Hereafter Allah will bestow on him so many merits that he will be pleased and even more than pleased. ”
